Frequently Asked Questions

1.

What is a Virtual Office?

Hope this will answer some of your enquiries. I understand that some people may not know what
Virtual Office Solution is for.

For a start, the Main Purpose of getting a virtual office provider is:

To "rent" their business address as your own.
With this business address, you can use it as a registered business address when you register with ACRA
(Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority), formerly known as Registry of Companies & Businesses. You can use
it for the followings:

Put it in your name cards, letterheads, rubber stamps, envelopes, mailings, greeting cards, etc.

Open a bank account, apply for government grants, etc.

Use on any official documentations.

Virtual Office Services is a professional secretarial solutions for entrepreneurs. We offer entrepreneurs the
basic features like:

Registered Business Address

Mail-Alerting & Forwarding

Fax-to-Email Forwarding

In Singapore, it is illegally to operate a business without a proper legal registration with ACRA. And to register with ACRA, it is required to have a place of business, preferably a commercial address although currently you may use your residential address. However, this will be subjected to approval by the relevant authority.

With a registered business address, entrepreneurs can use it for ACRA registration and used it on their name cards, letterheads, etc. It can also be used to open bank accounts and official correspondence.

Whenever we received a postal mail, we will inform the member via email or phone call. These mails will be date-stamped and members can come in to collect during operating hours. Should the members require mail-forwarding services, the mails will be re-directed to the member's home for a very small handling fee.

What is a business centre?

A business centre is a purpose build premise that offers furnished and fully functional offices in an array of sizes. Commonly also referred to as serviced offices or managed offices.

3.

What are the tangible savings from choosing a business centre?

A business centre offers a cost-effective and flexible solution for companies setting up an office or business identity.

Pay only for as-per-need basis, such as secretarial services and workstation facilities.

Eradicates the need to lock your business in a long-term lease as required with conventional offices. Conventional offices typically require a fixed lease term that will determine your overhead costs for a minimum of three years. A business centre offers you the flexibility to expand, downsize or relocate without incurring the penalties of premature termination of lease.

No start-up costs such as interior design, office fit-out, office furniture, equipment and reinstatement fees.

Hiring and training staff can be a very costly process without taking into account employee benefits and staff
turnover. No additional costs for hiring, training & employing administrative support staff.

Access to facilities without investment in additional space (e.g. Meeting room, Reception area, Pantry).

Sizeable savings on rental deposit.

4.

How do business centres measure serviced office space?

The quoted area is usually measured by gross size, which means usable public areas such as corridor space,
meeting venues, refreshment area and lobby are often not taken into account.
